New ident for Arrow Video FrightFest 2020 – ‘Screen’ – now on YouTube

Hard to believe a year has zipped by since we released #FFIDENT20, but it has. Though James Moran and I swore it would be our last Turn Off Your Bloody Phone ident for Arrow Video FrightFest, we changed our minds and did a surprise ident this year in lockdown, on incredibly limited resources, to celebrate the Digital Edition of FrightFest this August and help make things feel a little bit more normal.

Turn Off Your Bloody Phone: Screen features contributions from Mark Kermode, Emily Booth, Corin Hardy, Nicholas Vince, Matthias Hoene and devoted FrightFest supporters.

Written & directed by James and I, it screened before the world premieres of There’s No Such Thing As Vampires and I Am Lisa at FrightFest on 28th August, but is now available online for free on YouTube.

Thank you to FrightFest for still running a festival this summer, albeit digitally. It’s horror Christmas and we cherish the festival organisers’ efforts.

FFIDENT20 now online starring Andy Nyman, Emily Booth and Kim Newman!

Our secret ident for Arrow Video FrightFest this year is now online for free – #FFIDENT20 – FrightFest Opening Night of the Dawn of the 28th Day. Starring Andy Nyman, Emily Booth, Kim Newman, Jack Doolan, Adam Green & Joe Lynch.

Please watch, rewatch, share. I loved directing the Night of the Living Dead segment with the wonderful Emily Booth – such a funny woman. Huge thanks to her and our other brilliant guest stars. We made this with a huge amount of love, care and attention couldn’t have done this without the fab crew who gave us days and days of their time on this epic labour of love – Kirsty Graham, Joao L C Da Silva, Stu Dye, Taylor Rae Papworth, Grace Sargeant, Rhian Webster, Lauren Webster, Louise Brightman. This is our last ident as we’ll never beat this one!

It was screened before the UK premiere of Come to Daddy at FrightFest on the gigantic iMax screen last night.

Happy 20th anniversary, FrightFest!

‘Bloody Nurses’ Special Premiere at Horror Channel FrightFest, Glasgow!

Fantastic news! Bloody Nurses, in which I played one of the three deadly bloody nurses, for the  Soska Sisters’ Blood Drive PSA, directed by Damon Rickard (The PackageThe Tour), will also play as an exclusive ident for Horror Channel FrightFest in Glasgow from 23rd to 25th February.

There’s a little extra content there just for FrightFest and my specially recorded voice over, so treat it like an Easter egg. I’m so pleased it’ll be seen on the big screen, by a wider audience and help spread the message for the Blood Drive – so go and give blood – #inyoutogive. I was very lucky to be cast alongside the extremely talented and beautiful Lucy Clements and Jessica Messenger –  a joy to work with.

It’s an incredible line up for FrightFest in Glasgow this year, including The Warrior’s Gate written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen and directed by Matthias Hoene (Cockneys vs Zombies), Phantasm: Remastered, and a special preview screening of Julia Ducournau’s Raw, which I’ve been desperate to see for months. So get yourselves to Glasgow for the best weekend of your life!
